Always been fascinated by cobblers who operate out of their small shacks along the streets. Admire their agility and enterprising nature to fix things ranging from shoes to bags to sofas to any new challenges that are thrown at them. Despite being plonked on the footpath from early hours of the morning when office-goers need to polish their shoes or a quick repair job, till late evening they continue to fix, fix and fix. Strangely I have never seen a fat cobbler despite it being a 12-hour sitting job. But when I found one recently, I had to document this rare moment because I finally came across a fat cobbler who lived up to my expectations. Again the old cartons lying around at home doubled up as my canvas for this drawing.
