WHY THE NAME Eeksaurus?

The name ‘Eeksaurus’ comes from our founder and bossman Suresh’s nickname ‘Eeks’ from his NID days, which was imagined to be a breed of dinosaurs, attributed to his neanderthal-like demeanour. The name was initially meant to be an ice breaker with stone cold corporates and maybe evoke a laugh or two. But now we spend our time correcting the various imaginative pronunciations we get from them as the name seems to have a life of its own.

So we made a video that might help.

ABOUT US

Back in the late 90s and early 00s, our chief dinosaur Suresh was already at it, creating some of the most memorable films in advertising history, such as the Amaron battery TVC campaigns, ICICI Chintamani series, MTV and Channel [V] promos, to name a few. Then in 2009, he established Studio Eeksaurus with the humble aim of making his nickname more popular.

DRIVEN BY ART AND DESIGN.
We are a design-driven multi-platform production and content creation studio. Which means we specialise in audio visual amalgamation and idiosyncratic culmination of wacky ideas and techniques aimed at creating astonishingly odd balled solutions which the next 7 generations can brag about. Simply put, we make great films.

FINDING DINOSAUR BONES.
We are introverts and are deeply observant about every tiny godforsaken thing around us. We see the unseen, hear the unsaid, read heavily into things and top it all up with a wisp of imagination. We talk to our coffee machine and give it space when it doesn’t respond. Our sixth sense is on all the time.

ANAL ABOUT STUFF.
We are pedantic about our craft, and will get the shivers when asked to compromise. We will take your normal sounding idea and convert it into something out of the ordinary. So beware – if you bring us a bland script you are stuck up about and don’t want to change a thing, we will be uncomfortable.

PUSHING BOUNDARIES AND BUTTONS.
What does this button do? Chances are, we already know, because we have pushed that button and it has exploded on our face. But that has never stopped us from picking on an idea, and digging, excavating and exploring every possibility of turning it into something monumental, even if it is at the cost of driving each other up the wall and burning our hairlines.

AWARDS

Not to toot our own horn but amidst all our horsing around we have also won plenty of awards & accolades such as the Annecy, Abby, Hiroshima, New York Television awards, Asia Pacific Adfest awards, Spikes Asia, Cannes Lions, Epica, Clio, HaFF, Promax, Ajijic, Animamundi, Krok, Anima, Teheran International Animation Festival and Stuttgart to a name a few.
