Yann Jouette
After earning a degree in illustration from the Brussels Academy of Fine Arts, Yann discovered 3D while working for five or six years at Ubisoft as a set designer and art director on video game projects, all while directing his first 3D short film: “La fabrik” in 2001, which was selected for competition at Annecy and aired multiple times on Canal+. He directed “L’attaque des pieds de l'espace” in 2004, which won numerous awards in the U.S. (Renegade Festival, etc.), all while working in advertising as a set designer. He wrote and designed the sets for the short film “Dog Days” in 2007, directed by Geoffroy de Crécy and produced by Autour de Minuit and Canal+. He directed “Berni’s Doll” in 2008; this short film went on to win more than 35 awards at international festivals (Annecy, BIFFF, São Paulo, etc.). He continued to work on TV series and feature films—Another Day of Life in Belgium and Dragon Rider in Berlin as a set designer, while also writing and directing short films: *Next Generation*, produced by Arte after completing a writing residency in Berlin through the Nipkow Program. In 2016, he wrote and directed Sirenashow, produced by Sacrebleu Productions and France Télévision. Since then, he has been teaching at animation schools in France.
